Oh What a Great Idea!

I just got off the phone with a potential customer. He will be a new customer should he decide to move forward, (we think he will!). New to the Creations of Love concept of romantic decorating, he said…“I never heard of anything like this before”! He comes to us by way of his surfing efforts on Google and is very excited about Valentine’s Day this year! He said that he was looking to do something different...(music to our ears)!! He also mentioned that they, (he and his wife) both need some time away together, but just can't get-away to a faraway place like they'd like to!
We talked and talked about a number of ideas and eventually found ourselves on the subject of relationships. We often end up talking about relationships during the initial consulation about our services! What we find like I mentioned in a previous post, is that many people are romantic...he just like many others just don't take the time to implement any of his ideas, mostly because he doesn't have the time. I'm telling you.....I was tired just hearing about his schedule!
Anyway...moving on to the good stuff…we actually came up with a cute idea that will be a nice touch in the suite that we'll decorate for them. It’s unlike anything that we’ve done before.'s a secret!
Read on beautiful people…j s

Here's where it started...
He was online searching at our favorite store for lingerie…of course…Victoria Secrets. He couldn't make up his mind which one of these 4 sets that he likes the best so…he decided to purchase all four styles in every color available. We thought of a way to incorporate them into one of our romance packages. We're going to do something very interesting with them inside the suite that he selected for the weekend!
Stay Tuned!......

Three Words: Romance, Intrigue, Anticipation

Make it Last....

How many men out there have ever heard their significant other say "You're just not that romantic"? Of course, it's not that you don't enjoy being romantic, it's just that, well, life is hectic, and you have trouble coming up with fresh new ideas for romance.
In my countless face to face conversations, phone conversations and late night tears with friends, family and people that I’ve met all over the country, It's my belief that men and women are indeed romantic. We just often times don’t show it and when we do it’s the same old routine.
w ..
Make the important decision to prioritize loving each other over anything else! We like to think that, you have to keep creating a marriage not re-creating it. When you keep creating it then it feels new and we all know what new feels like, smells like and taste like! From a new car to a new outfit and a new flavor of ice cream that delights your taste buds and leaves your toes a curling!
We can help! We have so many exciting ways that you can create something new and exciting to reignite the flames and in some cases start the fire! It’s what we do and we are in love with love! This year bring sexy back! Make it stick with new ideas! We are always here to help!

First Up.....Set the Mood with your Surroundings!

Rethink your home interior with a simple romantic design tip that will refresh and renew! I've been thinking about adding a light weight pair of curtains over the French doors leading into the living room for a couple of years now. Seeing how they look here has boosted my desire even more! They really look airy and romantic!
The look featured in the photo above, was created by Charleston-based designer Amelia Handegan.

Set the Mood!

Make sure that your bedroom is just that...YOURS!!! Keep the kids toys, the mail, the laundry, the shoes and see where I'm going....keep these things in the proper place which isn't the bedroom!!

You can also achieve the romantic look featured above, without a Canopy bed! Simply hang these romantic sheers from the wall or ceiling around the bed! Check out your local hardware store for design tips!

More on Red....with Lisa Ling!

Although red is the Color of Weddings in China, it's catching on here in the states!

Lisa Lings Wedding Style....fwe
As for tradition you can see in the photo from Lisa Ling’s wedding, she is ravishing in red!
Red is central to the wedding theme of China. It signifies love, joy and prosperity and is used in a variety of ways in Chinese wedding traditions. The bride's wedding gown is often red, as are most items surrounding the event. Even the bride and groom's homes are decorated in red on the wedding day!
The Reception....
Lisa Ling had five chefs that catered her reception. Each chef brought a festive decoration for their station. We found by far this carving of fruits and vegetables to be a piece of eye candy! Here, the dim sum chef chose birds carved from fruits and vegetables.

One Word: Masterpiece

And the winner is...Not our top five!!!

I'm not surprised at all by Michelle Obama's Inaugural Ball gown selection. With all the fame and fortune of well known designers, I'm sure that Michelle wanted to give an unknown designer a chance to make a name for himself.
It wasn't until the ball itself that she revealed this beautiful white chiffon one-shoulder gown designed by a 26-year-old named Jason Wu. Wu studied under famed Narciso Rodriguez, but is still virtually an unknown designer in the fashion industry.
Michelle we applaud you, this act really shows off your character, your thoughtfulness and graciousness! You looked stunning! We are looking forward to your continued acts of kindness.

Tis' the Seasons....

We are decorating this beautiful honeymoon suite, for a celebrity couple that heard about our service from a friend. Apparently his friend saw our video on YouTube and decided to share it with him. He had been wanting to call us for some time now but just never got around to it. He recently decided that it's the perfect time to surprise his wife after a long season on the road. There was just one thing that he ask of us, outside of really going all out for her, " please keep everything confidential". We made a commitment to him not to share his name!
I ask him why the honeymoon suite when they're already married he said, "she deserves the best and it's also one of her favorite hotels"! They live in one of the most beautiful subdivisions here in Duluth Georgia. I told him once I saw this beautiful suite, I had to at least share the story and the suite since this will be the first time that we've decorated at the Four Seasons Hotel.
I wonder if they'll order dinner in, or dine at the beautiful romantic Alfresco on the fourth floor?

This is a Man's world but....
"What do men really want for Valentines Day?
I guarantee it's not a nice watch or a box of
said Founder of, Debbie Augustine. "Women everywhere are jumping on this idea because there's nothing more playful, passionate or shocking than receiving a sexy panty." We totally agree with you Debbie!
This is a mans world but... it wouldn't be nothin', without a women! Keep the spice in your life by shaking things up a little, do something out of the ordinary! You don't have to wait for a special occasion either, sometimes it's the unexpected gestures that leave a lasting impression!

A Romantic Hideaway....
I have a friend who recently moved here from Hawaii that lives in a highrise condo in Buckhead. We were talking the other day and she told me about a couple that moved in about 5 months ago that might be interested in our services. The couple also owns a house in Alpharetta and they just come down and stay in their condo on the weekends to get-away.
Well....that's great and they are fortunate, not everyone can do that, so for those that are sometimes looking for a break from home, or a home away from home, why not stay at a local B & B for a couple of nights. We've found some of the nicest ones around. We are referring them to our customers as an alternative to a hotel stay when appropriate. Like The King Keith House which has a Cottage that's really a romantic hideaway. For the most part, it has all of the comforts of home and all of the right luxuries to make your stay a memorable one. There's also the EarthCraft Stonehurst Place that we featured in an earlier post!

Then there's the FOOD!!!.....

Café La Boheme
With Executive Chef Christine Banta guiding the kitchen, Café La Boheme provides exceptional food that can be enjoyed in a more casual environment. “The menu is multi-faceted—lots of choices, from entrees to hot and cold appetizers and noodles and rice dishes,” explains Banta. With a classical French background, but coming from a Japanese/American family, Banta’s menu reflects her many influences.“We’ve stripped things down this time around,”she explains. “The plating is more rustic and less technical, but definitely still beautiful. Presentation is important, but food is definitely the focus.”

Romantic Restaurants.......

Café La Boheme
With Valentines Day around the corner as we love to say, "it's ALL about the romance". We will be featuring all things romantic in the coming weeks.
I couldn't resist sharing this beauty....a great find, compliments of my girl Marlene, on a recent visit to LA! She said, “This is one of the most beautiful restaurants in all of Los Angeles"! We found the same sentiments when we did our research. It looks like a great place for a romantic date, a birthday or anniversary soiree and of course our favorite reason, "just Because"! There are romantic fireplaces and gorgeous chandeliers throughout!
Famed restaurant Designer Margaret O’Brien, recreated the new restaurant. Apparently the old restaurant is no longer and as of Oct 2007 the newly remodeled spot made it's debut after 16 years in it's West Hollywood location.
Last year, my nephew surprised his wife with a trip for Valentines Day! If you can swing it....I say go for a trip to LA, check out the sites and make sure you pay a visit to Cafe La Boheme!
