The Super Bowl downsized a lot of it's activities this year. Even the most-watched sporting event in the U.S. is not immune to the effects of the economic downturn. One of the highlights will go on though! We are really looking forward to Jennifer Hudson's return to the national stage!

She will be singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl this Sunday Feb. 1, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay Fla! She's using sports' grandest stage, to make her return to the "Spotlight", which happens to be the title of one of the hits from her new CD. I just got off the phone with a potential customer. He will be a new customer should he decide to move forward, (we think he will!). New to the Creations of Love concept of romantic decorating, he said…“I never heard of anything like this before”! He comes to us by way of his surfing efforts on Google and is very excited about Valentine’s Day this year! He said that he was looking to do something different...(music to our ears)!! He also mentioned that they, (he and his wife) both need some time away together, but just can't get-away to a faraway place like they'd like to!

We talked and talked about a number of ideas and eventually found ourselves on the subject of relationships. We often end up talking about relationships during the initial consulation about our services! What we find like I mentioned in a previous post, is that many people are romantic...he just like many others just don't take the time to implement any of his ideas, mostly because he doesn't have the time. I'm telling you.....I was tired just hearing about his schedule!

Anyway...moving on to the good stuff…we actually came up with a cute idea that will be a nice touch in the suite that we'll decorate for them. It’s unlike anything that we’ve done before. Shhh...it's a secret!

He was online searching at our favorite store for lingerie…of course…Victoria Secrets. He couldn't make up his mind which one of these 4 sets that he likes the best so…he decided to purchase all four styles in every color available. We thought of a way to incorporate them into one of our romance packages. We're going to do something very interesting with them inside the suite that he selected for the weekend!

A girlfriend of mine highly recommends this book. She said that the book is very romantic. Perfect for reading to him/her while curled up on the sofa together, or take it with you on a romantic picnic!

The Reception....

Lisa Ling had five chefs that catered her reception. Each chef brought a festive decoration for their station. We found by far this carving of fruits and vegetables to be a piece of eye candy! Here, the dim sum chef chose birds carved from fruits and vegetables.

We attended the official launch party for the Southern Weddings Magazine last evening. It was a blast, there were wedding industry professionals on hand from near and far. We also saw a few friends that we hadn't seen in a while! The soiree was held in the city of Atlanta at the beautiful Dogwood restaurant, the food was great! f

We are decorating this beautiful honeymoon suite, for a celebrity couple that heard about our service from a friend. Apparently his friend saw our video on YouTube and decided to share it with him. He had been wanting to call us for some time now but just never got around to it. He recently decided that it's the perfect time to surprise his wife after a long season on the road. There was just one thing that he ask of us, outside of really going all out for her, " please keep everything confidential". We made a commitment to him not to share his name!

I ask him why the honeymoon suite when they're already married he said, "she deserves the best and it's also one of her favorite hotels"! They live in one of the most beautiful subdivisions here in Duluth Georgia. I told him once I saw this beautiful suite, I had to at least share the story and the suite since this will be the first time that we've decorated at the Four Seasons Hotel.

I wonder if they'll order dinner in, or dine at the beautiful romantic Alfresco on the fourth floor?

I have a friend who recently moved here from Hawaii that lives in a highrise condo in Buckhead. We were talking the other day and she told me about a couple that moved in about 5 months ago that might be interested in our services. The couple also owns a house in Alpharetta and they just come down and stay in their condo on the weekends to get-away.

Well....that's great and they are fortunate, not everyone can do that, so for those that are sometimes looking for a break from home, or a home away from home, why not stay at a local B & B for a couple of nights. We've found some of the nicest ones around. We are referring them to our customers as an alternative to a hotel stay when appropriate. Like The King Keith House which has a Cottage that's really a romantic hideaway. For the most part, it has all of the comforts of home and all of the right luxuries to make your stay a memorable one. There's also the EarthCraft Stonehurst Place that we featured in an earlier post!

I couldn't resist sharing this beauty....a great find, compliments of my girl Marlene, on a recent visit to LA! She said, “This is one of the most beautiful restaurants in all of Los Angeles"! We found the same sentiments when we did our research. It looks like a great place for a romantic date, a birthday or anniversary soiree and of course our favorite reason, "just Because"! There are romantic fireplaces and gorgeous chandeliers throughout!

Famed restaurant Designer Margaret O’Brien, recreated the new restaurant. Apparently the old restaurant is no longer and as of Oct 2007 the newly remodeled spot made it's debut after 16 years in it's West Hollywood location.
