Wednesday Wisdom...A Romantic Tip!

w
The best thing that you can do for yourself, your mate and your relationship, is to continue to do what you love to, even after you say I do! So often we give up our passion or the fun things that we enjoy and make our partner the center of our universe. That's all well and good but don't loose sight of yourself in the process.;
w
I've seen it happen so many times and once you get lost it's hard to find yourself again. Your identity is the one thing that made you fall in love with each other in the first place right? Be yourself and continue to live the life that was a breath of fresh air to your mate from the start.
s
What is it you loved to do most when you were single? Did you look forward to playing golf or tennis? Get a charge out of taking your dog on vacation with you? Enjoy the action of a good basketball or football game? Savor the intimacy of a long car trip? Whatever you did before and enjoyed, do it over and over again — and if you haven't already, introduce your significant other to the joy of losing yourselves in an activity you adore!

This is such good and valid advice. It is so easy to get stuck in our busy lives of work, kids etc. and forget to make time to enjoy the same things we did before marriage.

My husband and I make sure to take in at least one pro baseball game a year, watch a sunset a few times a month, go out for a date night every 6 weeks as well as going to a great rock concert once or twice a year.

Great reminderto everyone!

Oh my goodness! This is SO TRUE! We are always with the kids when we're not working. We hardly ever take time out to do anything together (Just hubby and me!) I am going to share this tip with him and be back for more. I stumbled upon your blog! I will share it, great tips and content!

Thanks!

Thank you for your comments! I know that with my hectic schedule I have to take time out for my marriage. My husband and I are star struck! We love to star gaze. We often lay out on our deck and are amazed at how beautiful the sky is at night. It gets a little romantic at times and gives us a chance to unwind and be close!
